Today was a special day at MES as we had a visit from Deputy Ag Commissioner Warren Beeler. Joining him was one of the teachers from the Kentucky Department of Agriculture's Mobile Science Centers. Our outstanding first-grade teacher, Mrs. Linda Amos, was selected this summer to be part of the Agriculture Champion Educator Program. Through her participation in this program, she is helping us bring more Agriculture education to MES and helping more teachers learn to incorporate Agriculture into all content areas so that we can make learning more relevant and authentic for our students. Mr. Beeler and Ms. Kalee visited many of our classrooms and witnessed our students learning about pollination, erosion, growing fruits, animals, farm ecosystems, and more.
